ms smith is a nice girl, doesn't require an excess of attention but doesn't mind being in the spotlight. a leader by nature, she sometimes wishes that she didn't have so many little siblings. since her mother and father both work a lot, she took it upon herself to watch all three of her younger brothers and sisters so that neither of her parents would have to quit their job. although this was good for her family, she didn't get much of a chance to be a teenager. don't get me wrong: she loves all children and would willingly babysit for no pay at all, but sometimes she wonders what she might have missed.

recently, her father stopped working, though. it's a little weird for her because all of a sudden she has tons of free time. thankfully, she made quick friends with ms summers, a new addition to Eaglepoint, and they enjoy each other's company.

penguins are strong swimmers, they have to be. ms smith is a good swimmer as well, she's both physically and mentally strong. being in the water has always felt fun to her, it's something she'll probably never tire of.

this little girl has always felt that she's had it easy. even through her parent's divorce when she was eleven, she stayed strong and happy, to many other people's disbelief. her mother and father decided that their daughter would live with him in their hometown. just a few months ago, he was remarried to a woman he had been dating for a few years. the small family of three made the decision to move all the way to Eaglepoint. a nice town, they heard, with a lovely community. not too long after arriving, the young shifter discovered her powers.

although she's not a huge people person, she has a few close friends who she loves. one of these is ms smith, a girl who's spent her entire life in Eaglepoint. there's only one thing they've ever kept from each other: their ability to shift forms.

ability carried to human form: agility. lynxes are extremely agile creatures. ms summers was fortunate enough to take that natural agility from her animal form to her human form.

Eaglepoint has been her home since the moment she was born, although her face isn't well known around the town. why? she's not a very social little girl. having any attention put on her makes her freeze up and panic. elevators scare her and she's claustrophobic. on the bright side, she's very good at thinking things through. with a very logical mind, she takes her time before she speaks, judges another person, or anything like that. her grades in school are fantastic and she's rarely ever in trouble.

everything about ms davis is small - including her self-confidence outside of academics. fortunately, she recognizes her talent when it comes to learning, and she's aware that she is intelligent. field mice are intelligent too. did you know that? they've been known to work out a strategy before doing something.

ever since she found out that she was adopted, ms foxe's shameless attention-seeking habits have become even more prominent in her personality. this sends some running and intrigues others. really, she's just been wondering if her real family didn't like her because she wasn't good enough. with very average grades in school, a circle of friends that could very possibly be fake, and no boyfriend whatsoever, she's started thinking that maybe she's not much of a daughter.

swift parrots are brightly coloured, fast flying, and have high pitched calls. ms foxe is remarkably similar to her animal form, just like other shifters: attention seeking, oddly swift in her movements, with a higher voice.

"Subtle" just isn't this girl's style. It never really has been, either. Of course, she also isn't surrounded by friends and people don't flock to her side. That's never bothered her, though. If you're going to hang out with her, however, you have to know that she's going to do what she feels like doing. surprisingly a good listener ( when she wants to be ), she'll hear you out, but her patience might wear thin. gyr falcons are quite predacious, or predatory. ms lewis is no different. whining around her is not such a good idea. you'll quickly find her in your face telling you to shut up and do something better than complain.

ms lewis has brought a particularly strong ability back from her animal form. not only is her eyesight exceptionally strong, but it's exactly the same as it is in her animal form. that means that whether she's shifted or not, she can see objects miles away very clearly.

mr walker is indisputably a loner. coming from a rich family, he's never gonna have to worry about not being financially stable. with his credit cards in hand, his parents under the impression that he's away at college or at least actually doing something productive with his life, mr walker is free to wander from place to place as he pleases, as long as he gives New York City a wide berth to avoid meeting up with anyone he knows.

love isn't something that's ever really crossed mr walker's mind. as a drifter, he's never found anyone or anything that would make him decide to stay anywhere for very long. sure, he's dated a few times, but he's never loved anyone. not truly. of course, there was that little shocker that came when he followed his instincts when they told him to go to the river. will the ability to shift make him stay?

thanks to the "lion" part of him, mr walker has become more territorial than he was before - much more so. territorial and possessive, with a temper that tends to flare at the most inconvenient of times.

well, you have to give mr bishop some credit. although irritating at times, he has an admirable amount of determination and isn't easily discouraged. if he ever starts to feel discouraged, he'll keep whatever he's doing up, because he doesn't want to seem like an idiot if he stops.

he's one of those people that just wants to be cool. some people think he's okay, some hate him, but it takes a certain kind of person to really think that he's great. unfortunately for him, this means that every pretty girl he asks out is probably going to reject him. thankfully, he's got the personality that lets him stand right back up again after being knocked to the ground and continue on like nothing ever happened.

fallow deer live in separate groups, the males in one, the females and young in another. another reason mr bishop is so irritating is that he's not really interested in girls unless she's pretty, and she'll kiss him. usually he'll just stick with some friends who are also guys.

rest during the day, out and about at dusk. that's how this boy wishes life was. unfortunately for him, things don't quite work that way, do they? often tired during the day from his irregular sleeping habits, the instant it starts to get just a little dark outside, he's got endless energy and a high-on-life attitude that can seem shocking. with such a happy personality, however, it's hard to not like mr alexandre. that doesn't mean, though, that he's going to like you. people that he's known since he was little are really the only ones that he can get along with. his twin sister, leah (called "lee"), is one of his favourite people. he's overprotective of her, and she might complain if she didn't act the same over him.

mr alexandre is fortunate enough to be gifted with extremely keen hearing - unnaturally keen hearing, in fact. like a tiger. although his eyesight isn't the best, he's got reading glasses, his sense of sound does a good job of making up for that.

in packs, there's usually one wolf - just one - that serves as a punching bag. any aggression other wolves have will be taken out on it. this wolf is always that last one to eat, and only really gets scraps. in a way, mr o'shea is very much that wolf. he simply refuses to stand up for himself, no matter what, and has often been the victim of bullying. he doesn't believe that he's worth anything, and he's not too happy with life in general.

with his siblings all at boarding schools in other states and countries, he's all alone at home. his parents, both extremely wealthy, enjoy each other's company so much, that they don't often spend time with other people. did I mention that all the o'shea children were mistakes? so far, he's learned to manage, but it's been a lonely eighteen years for him.
