i n f o r m a t i o n !?
so, as much as we all wish we could just write the app and jump in, that's not possible. there's some things you're going to have to know first, besides the rules. please read this, there's a second password hidden in here, so just bear with me and please read this thread. thank you!
to start out, ( and I'm sorry that I'm going to have to make some Twilight comparisons ) shifters on ITF don't necessarily shift when angry. they shift when they want to. to do this, they either imagine their animal form or their human face, and they'll change into whatever they're thinking of. although it's instinctual, sometimes it takes a bit for them to figure out. shifting gets easier with time.
our shifters still age. no matter what, they are still getting older. regardless of the animal's life span, they will live a human life span. some may not know this and may worry about it, but they will live a human life span. end story.
the shifters take a particular quality, either physical or behavioral back from their animal form. see canons for an example. unless you're taking a canon, please do not give your shifter a physical quality. these are bought with points, or you reserve a canon with one.
now let me explain: physical quality would be like an eagle shifter having the vision of an eagle in both their human and animal form. a behavioral quality would be like being particularly territorial or preferring to stick with groups of people.
the shifters must must must be older than thirteen when they first shift, and they can only make their first transformation at Pearl River. their instincts start inclining them to go to the river. when they get there, they won't be able to control the shift, but it'll happen.
they cannot have made their first shift more than eight months ago. 'kay? that's just how it is. the reasons involve the plot, so I'm going to shut my mouth right now. xD
they are not unusually warm. unless, of course, that's a physical quality of, say, a canine shifter. for no other reason would they have an exceptionally high temperature on any regular day while they're in perfect health.
they do not heal quickly. if one of them breaks their arm, I guess their out of luck. they cannot shift when they have any major injuries. it could, first off, further the damage, and second off, their bodies won't let them.
